Depp, Farrel, and Law to Finish Heath Ledger’s Last Film

Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and Jude Law will play the lead role in the “The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus,” which was left unfinished by the late Heath Ledger. The three heavyweights have agreed to take on Ledger’s character, Tony, at various stages in the film.

Christopher Plummer plays the impresario Doctor Parnassus in “Imaginarium,” while Ledger had taken the role of a mysterious outsider who joins the Doctor’s group on a quest through different parallel worlds to save the doctor’s daughter from the the devil.

At the time of his death, Ledger had already begun shooting his scenes but was not able to finish. Throughout the film, Ledger’s character is transported into three separate dimensions. Although it was not confirmed, it is likely Depp, Farrell and Law would each step into the role in a different dimension.

There has been no word yet on when Terry Gilliam’s film will resume production.
