Home Interiors Using Old Wood

Lately, I’ve developed this attraction to home furnishings made of old wood or antique furnitures. I was even delighted to see a big old wooden mortar that was turned into a tiny side table in an antique shop. It was fitted with a small round transparent glass on top with rubber molds to make the glass stick to the rim of the mortar. I love one-of-a-kind pieces that give character to an otherwise ordinary room.

I discovered this blog recently that showcased home and garden designs that were unique and elegant. At www.luxuryhousingtrends.com, different designs and unique designer furnitures were featured that made my eyes water. Most of the items shown are a bit pricey, but definitely worth seeing at least. I adore the hoop pine wooden bench and the solid beam coffee table made from reclaimed wood.  These are exactly the pieces I dream about having in my home.
