Ellen DeGeneres Wins 4th Daytime Emmy Award

Ellen DeGeneres picked up her 4th Daytime Emmy for talk show host last Friday night at the Kodak Theatre. She claims that she has no plans to stop her consecutive Emmy award like Oprah Winfrey did. She believes that Oprah has made some bad choices in her career and may now be paying the price.

Meanwhile, Rookie “Rachael Ray” took a surprising win in the talk show category, beating veteran talk show “The View” and “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”

DeGeneres won over Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa from “Live with Regis and Kelly” and Barbara Walters, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, Joy Behar, Whoopi Goldberg and Sherri Shepherd from “The View.” This is the 11th consecutive loss for the “View” ladies as hosts.Regis Philbin won as talk show host only once in the 20 years he’s hosted “Live.” At least he took home one trophy, the Lifetime Achievement Award, presented by Jimmy Kimmel whose career can be traced back to his days as an NBC page in the 1950s.
