Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson play the role of Bella and Edward Cullen one last time in the Twilight Movie finale Breaking Dawn 2.
As Breaking Dawn Part 2 is released to cinemas today, it draws to a close the most popular vampire movie saga from Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight novel series. It is considered a bittersweet day for so many Twihards worldwide — more so with the rumored reunion of on and off sweethearts Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson. While I remain skeptical of such reunion considering Kristen’s infidelity, let’s just say both Kristen and Rob realized that being together during this critical period would be good for their careers regardless of the outcome. There are also rumors floating around that Robert Pattinson is just waiting for all the Twilight hoopla to die down and would eventually cut off ties with Kristen Stewart. Whether that’s true or not, we’ll know in a few weeks — may be the longest weeks in Pattinson’s life if rumors are indeed true.
Though I prattle on about this drama hoping to get traffic for my blog, I have to admit that I have not seen the movie yet nor am I certain I would see it. Fortunately, I have 3 boys who don’t care much about romantic movies, much less any involving vampires. Unlike other parents, I am not enjoined nor coerced to watch the movie with my kids. Will I be watching it though? Most likely, but not in theaters — maybe on dvd or wait for it on HBO. Not to be considered pretentious, but I have to admit that it is something I believe I should see. It is a pop phenomenon and not knowing about the books or the movie could be misconstrued as either being too snotty or being downright oblivious or being old. And old I am not — I do know about Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez’s recent break-up.
Anyway, you all know that Breaking Dawn 2 is the classic final battle between good and evil, between the Volturi and the Cullens (with their friends). It was reported that there were 12 alternate endings made for this final movie, but they’ve finally made up their mind and chose one. Of those 12, I can’t begin to imagine how they decided which version of the Cullens winning is better. Without further adieu, here is the trailer of showing Bella kicking ass — but I’d be more interested in Lee Pace playing the role of Garrett as the American vampire nomad.
