Lead actor from the Fast & Furious movie franchise Paul Walker died yesterday from a car accident. Paul joined a friend driving a Porsche GT for a drive when the car lost control and hit a metal pole. According to witnesses, the vehicle burst into flames as it hit the pole. Friends from a nearby auto shop brought fire extinguishers in a bid to save Walker and his friend, but the car was engulfed in flames.
The 40-year old actor was near the area to attend a car show that supported the Philippine typhoon relief efforts. Paul has been a known supporter of various charity events. At the time, the charity event was hosted by his organization Reach Out Worldwide. Friends say that when the actor died, he died doing what he loved best — supporting a good cause and riding with a friend.
Paul is survived by 15-year old daughter Meadow who recently moved to California to spend more time with her father.
