Robin Williams Dead at 63

While I would have preferred posting something more cheerful after months of staying away from my blog, I just can’t let the day go by without paying tribute to one of my favorite actors — Robin Williams.  I was hoping it was another hoax.  My heart sank when I saw the Google search results — I knew what prank deaths showed in Google.

Mrs. Doubtfire and my favorite Peter Pan can’t be gone . . . Though his recent works did not make me laugh the way it used to, there is still no other actor that made me laugh and cry as hard as he did.  And being less funny has not made me admire him any less.  Some of the most memorable movies I will remember and cherish for the rest of my life are Awakenings, Patch Adams, and Mrs. Doubtfire.  Unfortunately, the most difficult challenges in life can’t be fixed by even the funniest genie.  My condolences to his family.
