Top US Lawyers Provide Legal Service in Los Angeles

faith| June 30, 2008 6:48 pm

I used to think that legal battles were just interesting when you watch them on television. It was something I was never that into. Even in television, I only enjoyed watching those that involved unusual cases. The rest actually bored me. For that matter, I was never a fan of John Grisham. It only became interesting when a friend of mine was accused by an officemate of sexual harassment. I never realized it could be for real. It was difficult for my friend but what he needed at that time were the best defense lawyers. Being a man accused by a lady of such an offense puts him at a disadvantage. Anyway, he did get out of it through negotiation and some luck. He swore never to date weird women henceforth.

For those who may be in the same predicament, I’m sure you realize that a lawyer’s competence can make or break your defense. If you are living in Los Angeles or in nearby areas, Kestenbaum, Eisner & Gorin, LLP is considered one of the best law firms in Southern California that handle criminal defense. It is a law firm committed to providing the best legal presentation for any client. The firm has reputable lawyers that have over 50 years of courtroom experience. Moreover, they have been recognized consistently as a “Preeminent Law Firm,” making them a Top 5% U.S. Law Firm.

If you need to get the best legal representation to defend yourself, Kestenbaum, Eisner & Gorin, LLP (Los Angeles Criminal Lawyers | California Criminal, DUI Defense ) is the law firm for you.

The IPhone 3G We Hoped But Never Came

faith| 7:41 am

When news came out that the IPhone was coming out with a new model, we had our hopes. And yet, it never came to pass. Before the IPhone 3G even reached stores, the complaints have already come based on demos and published specs. Again, Steve Jobs failed us all.

Indeed it has 3G and GPS. But there were more that it was not. First, it was supposed to be cheaper. However, like I mentioned in my previous post, the total package was more expensive than it was worth. Second, the camera was still at 2 MP with no flash. Duh! Sony Ericsson came out with that model years ago. And yes Mr. Jobs, there will be 8 MP cellphone cameras coming out soon.

Drug Rehabilitation for Individual Addictions

faith| 3:20 am

Everyone of us has a different way of coping with a problem. During difficult times, we either clam up or find diversions to help us deal with a problem while a solution is still far from coming. I usually pretend there is no problem and go on with my life as if nothing is wrong. Within this denial stage, I still try to do what is necessary but refuse to accept that there is a problem. Luckily, a solution comes that eventually makes everything go away.

On the other hand, there are problems that may be more difficult or people who find it more difficult to handle problems. These people who are more delicate end up finding diversions that create bigger problems than the real problem. I am talking about people who turn to alcohol or drugs. Sometimes, addiction is not limited to substance abuse. Others turn to gambling or even sex. These kinds of addiction likewise need treatment because of the damage that it causes the individual.

It may be cliche’ but it is true that the first step in treating an addiction is recognizing it or acknowledging that it exists. The next step is just as difficult — realizing the need for professional treatment. Drug Rehabilitation is especially necessary for those who have already caused damage to themselves and to other people. Getting these people into Drug Rehab would be hitting 2 birds with one stone — substance abuse is treated and the psychological problems brought about by hurting other people is also treated.

faith| 2:25 am

Finally, a video game aimed at saving lives rather than ending them has been developed by British company TruSim to help in training responders during emergency. Triage Trainer is set in the immediate aftermath of an explosion with casualties scattered everywhere. The player’s job is to diagnose and triage the injured. It involves making calls that will determine which patients are in immediate danger and which are not seriously injured.

The game was developed as an improvement to the traditional training method which proves more expensive and more complicated. With the game, it will be unnecessary to close down a large area in the city to conduct the training and all possible injuries are easily simulated for a more effective learning method.

GPS Tracking on the Rise

faith| 1:38 am

Technology is paving way for mankind to lead lives that are less complicated but at the same time more challenging. To cite an example, let us analyze the impact of GPS in our daily lives. With the advent of the Global Positioning System (GPS), it’s almost impossible to get lost. Investing in GPS receivers mean that you get a map right in your car or your mobile phone. Receivers in cars can even give you directions to your destination — that is if it is in the mood to work perfectly.

Now, GPS is widely used in every aspect of our lives. It has become an important tool in law enforcement. It can also be used by entrepreneurs to track assets or cargo shipments. This minimizes the risk of theft or loss in most of their assets, meaning lower insurance or capital expenditures. GPS tracking can also be used by normal citizens to ensure the location of children or loved ones. If your teenage son is going on a mountain trek or somewhere that can be dangerous, a GPS receiver can make sure that he is found in case of an accident or unforeseen event.

Credit Crisis Bring More Woes to Consumers

faith| 12:57 am

While consumers’ purchasing power continues to shrink, many are looking to mitigate deficits in income against expenses with bridge financing or short term loans to get through rough times. It’s the only way most people know how to survive until the sun begins to shine again.

Apparently, it’s not going to be as easy as it seems. Following the continuous increase in loan and mortgage defaults, creditors are minimizing losses by adjusting consumer credit ratings or credit scores. At the moment, it has become harder to secure any form of credit. Most consumers only realize this when they apply for a new credit card or a loan. It is ironic that getting credit has become almost impossible at a time when you need it the most. The situation is no different even if you have an immaculate credit reputation or a tainted one. Financial institutions are protecting themselves from risks that have escalated over the last few months.
