The Lakers Live to Fight Another Day

The LA Lakers get another chance to win the NBA championship after winning over the Celtics 103-98 to move within a game at 3-2. Kobe scored 25 points which includes a decisive dunk in the final minute while Lamar Odom followed with 20 points to prevent any champagne-popping in their home court.

No NBA team in history has ever recovered from a 3-1 deficit in the finals and went on the win the trophy. This could be the Lakers’ chance to make history as they try to tie the series on the Celtics’ parquet floor on Tuesday.

Can the Lakers make history? Will Kobe finally achieve legendary status that has continuously eluded him?

Uncalled Foul Places the Lakers 1 Win Away from the Western Conference Finals

Defending champion San Antonio Spurs trails the ongoing NBA Western Finals 3-1 after the Lakers won the game 93-91 Tuesday.  It was a controversial win for the Lakers when Brent Barry missed 3-point shot with 2 seconds left on the clock.  After the receiving the inbound, Derek Fisher went for a foul making Barry miss badly.  However, the foul was never called which ended the game in favor of the Lakers.

The NBA admitted that  foul should have been called subsequent to reviewing the instant replay.  It would have tied up the series for the Spurs had the shot gone in or it would have given them a chance to even the count on the foul line.  Here’s a video of the final play.  What do you think?
