Enjoy the Holiday Season With a Nintendo Wii

In the 20th century, nothing provides more cheer to kids than video games on high tech video consoles. The video game console market is controlled and dominated by only 3 players, Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft. For more than 5 years, these 3 giants have been engaged in the console wars. In the past 5 years, it has been Sony winning the console wars with the Playstation and the Playstation 2. In 2006, the console giants launched another full-scale war with their new consoles — the Sony Playstation 3, the Microsoft XBox 360, and the Nintendo Wii. This time, Nintendo has emerged the winner with the highest worldwide sales that has reached 34.55 million as of September 2008.

What makes the Wii better than its competitors? The Wii is a the game console that can be enjoyed and played by the entire family together. While the Playstation 3 and the Xbox 360 were both targeted for hardcore gamers, the Wii features games that will make the family have fun. Another distinguishing feature that sets it apart from its competitors is its wireless controller (the Wii Remote) that can be used as a handheld pointing device and can detect movement in three dimensions. Father and son can play a game of tennis together and controlling the game would mean holding the remote and swinging your arms to simulate a real tennis swing in coordination with the character on the monitor. When I got my kids a Wii, it came with the Nintendo Wii Sports where we played tennis, baseball, bowling, and a lot more. It is probably the only game console that allows its players to exercise.

And because the Wii has been known to provide its players exercise, one of its bestselling games that was launched this year was the Wii Fit. The game was so in demand that it had become difficult to find one in the market. Same as the Wii, people were willing to pay a fortune to be able to get their hands on one. I have found it to be the best fitness tool so far. It comes with a Wii Balance Board that measures a user’s weight and center of gravity. The software then calculates the user’s body mass index and it includes activities like yoga, push-ups, and other exercises to keep you fit and strong.

Millions of people can’t be wrong about the Wii. Why not get one for the entire family and enjoy hours of fun together this holiday season? It would be the perfect gift for the kids. As a matter of fact, it has become the perfect tool for me and the kids to bond together.

Since I already got my kids a Wii, I’m planning on getting them a Nintendo DS this Christmas, Nintendo’s handheld game device. And like the Wii, it will definitely provide them hours of fun and entertainment. Check out price comparisons online and make sure you get a good deal on your Nintendo products.

The Sproutwells are Back in Episode 3

The Sproutwells have a new episode. This time we get a glimpse of Daddy who appears to be a cool yellow banana. I kinda find Daddy’s voice sexy as he enters the house and greets Mom. I think I have a new favorite character. Rosie, the nosy neighbor, is still prying on the family and is introduced to Daddy. They also introduce Phyto, the pet dog, to their father. In this episode, Rosie finally discovers that the deliveries the family gets are from Fresh Funds and hears about the website and the prizes available.

The animated episodes are part of the marketing efforts of freshfunds to promote their healthy snack food, Chiquita and Fresh Express. These snacks are the healthy choice for the entire family considering all the junk foods that are all over the market. You can also join the Fresh Funds Program where you get to accumulate points that you can use to bid on auction items. Auction items are changed each week. So, you can wait and check weekly if the item up for bid gets your attention enough to make you use your earned points. I have my eye on the Wii Fit which I’m sure will be a welcome change to the video games I have been getting my kids.

Share the Sproutwell videos with your friends and invite them to join the Fresh Funds Program. It could be rewarding to their health and even give them a chance to win exciting prizes weekly.

Yoga Has Never Been as Fun With Wii Fit at ShopWiki

Doing yoga has now become more than just exercise for me. It has become a passion. I love the effects that it has on my body. Not only has it made me more flexible, it has given unusual strength to my muscles and my immune system. Now, aside from attending my regular yoga class, I also do it at home with my kids’ Wii Fit.

I got a very good deal for my Wii Fit. I bought it online through QuickShop.co.uk at a very competitive price. Unlike other online comparative shopping sites, QuickShop provides over 30,000 online stores to choose from. While other similar sites provide only shops that have paid for placement, QuickShop will find every store in the internet that offers the product you require. With more stores to choose from, you can avail of more savings since you can find the one that offers the lowest price or the best deal in the internet.

I discovered QuickShop a few months ago while looking for PS3 games for my kids. Buying the games off the rack in regular is a bit much for my budget. So, I scoured the internet looking for good deals and discounts. Since then, I do most of my shopping online and use QuickShop to find out what the best deal in cyberspace is before I make my final purchase. With our budget getting tighter lately because of the economic crisis, QuickShop has been a blessing since the family is able to get the best savings in most of its online purchases.
