Prince Caspian: The Chronicles of Narnia 2

It’s just a few more night’s sleep and Prince Caspian will be screening in theaters nationwide. The second Narnia movie has made my kids jumpy with excitement that you can hear them from the kitchen whenever the trailer is shown on tv. Actually, I’m just as excited and I can’t wait to see this sequel. I have seen few good movies lately and have been looking forward to the good ones coming out.

I have read only as far as Prince Caspian in C.S. Lewis’ book series and in this one we will find the Pevensies drawn back to Narnia who has been in turmoil years after they returned home through the wardrobe. Director Andrew Adamson shot this film even before the first film, The Lion, The Witch, And The Wardrobe, had been released. He wanted to finish the second book before the kids were too old to play the part. Prince Caspian, the heir to the Telmarine throne, will be played by Ben Barnes. After seeing the trailer, I don’t remember visualizing Prince Caspian quite as attractive and manly while I was reading the book years ago. My vision was inclined towards a boy who was unsure of what to do.

Anyway, Prince Caspian was already shown in the US starting May 16, 2008. For other countries, we have a bit of wait to endure. With the dry spell my kids and I have had in watching fantasy movies, I hope it’s worth the wait. For those still waiting like us, watch the trailer right here and anticipate the thrill.
