Why Your Diet Program May Not Be Working

Are you the type who keeps trying to lose weight but keeps failing? Have you tried all sorts of diet programs but never seem to succeed? Well, you may have habits that ruin everything. Or you just picked up a wrong diet program filled with misconceptions. Here are some tips that may break the cycle for you.

  1. Don’t starve yourself. Starving yourself never works. Your body is smarter than you think. You may lose some weight the first couple of days. But as soon as your body realizes your eating less, it will go into “save mode” and will drastically lower your metabolism. It will conserve the minimal food you eat and burn less calories for your activities. Instead, eat in small quantities frequently. This will prevent you from overeating.

Pregnant Women’s Diet Can Determine The Child’s Gender

With 3 boys running and horsing around the house, I can’t help but envy my friends who have little girls with ribbons on their hair wearing dainty dresses. Don’t get me wrong. I adore my three boys. But I still want a baby girl. I want a sweet little girl on my lap with cute giggles that shower me with butterfly kisses. I have no complaints with the slobbery, hurried kisses my boys dish out. But it would be nice to have a tiny human being in my house that doesn’t smell like a sweaty dog.

Latest study show that a hearty breakfast laced with sugar can boost a woman’s chances of conceiving a son. On the other hand, a low-energy diet that skimps on calories, minerals and nutrients is more likely to yield a female baby.

Although the mechanism is not yet clearly explained, it is known from in vitro fertilization research that higher levels of glucose, or sugar, encourage the growth and development of male embryos while inhibiting female embryos.

If I do decide to get pregnant again, trust me, it is going to be a low-cal diet for me despite the sugar cravings. I swear the next human being that will sleep inside my tummy will have balls to play with only if I get it one from the store.
